Jae-Hoon Jang Opens Door for 'K-Asset' STO at World's Largest Fintech Event

Bangkok, Thailand, April 30, 2024 – BuySell Standards, which operates the tokenized securities (STO) based digital asset management platform 'PIECE,' attracted significant attention from global financial companies at the world's largest fintech event. The company announced that Jae-Hoon Jang, Head of Financial Services, presented the growth of the STO industry through K-Assets at 'Money 20/20 Asia' held at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center in Bangkok.   'Money 20/20,' which brings together major global financial companies like J.P. Morgan, is held annually in Asia, the U.S., and Europe. Jang was the first Korean official speaker to be invited. His speech received a positive response, leading to an invitation to the 'Money 20/20 Europe' event, which only 40 of the world's top financial startups can attend.   Jang emphasized the need to expand the range of underlying assets for STOs, which are currently limited to specific physical assets such as real estate and artwork, to include intangible assets such as intellectual property, revenue streams, and personal credit. He particularly highlighted the use of STOs to invest directly in corporate projects and shares, as well as in content businesses like webtoons, movies, and music albums.   "In the past, even if you were interested in a particular project or idol, there were few investment options beyond purchasing company stock," Jang explained. "We are now developing STO products that allow individual investments in specific idols, albums, and concert projects, sharing in the profits of those ventures."   The event saw strong interest and engagement from participating companies. Jang met with Kattiya Indaravijaya, the CEO of Kasikornbank, Thailand's second-largest bank, to discuss collaboration in the Thai STO market. He also exchanged views on investment with SC Ventures, the investment subsidiary of Standard Chartered.   Additionally, Jang was invited to a private networking party attended by ministerial-level officials and heads of fintech associations, where he presented a roadmap for issuing and distributing local STO products. He continued in-depth discussions with key representatives from Indonesia, Taiwan, Cambodia, and Malaysia.   "The STO market is starting to emerge globally," Jang noted. "I aim to support global projects in securing diverse funding from abroad through the capabilities of STO. We are also preparing IP-based products with cultural value, such as artworks, to further enhance our offerings."/End of the article    박원중 기자 (park.wonjun.ja@gmail.com)worlds event underlying assets intangible assets assets at
