(Lisa comes home from school and is greeted by her mother Jean…)

Jean: How was school today?
 
진: 오늘 학교 어땠어?
 

Lisa: Terrible! I hate school!
 
리사: 안 좋았어! 학교 싫어!
 
Jean: Something really bad must have happened.
 
진: 뭔가 아주 안좋은 일이 있었구나.
 
Lisa: Yes and I’m not going back!
 
리사: 응. 학교 안갈 거야!
 
Jean: What happened?
 
진: 무슨 일이 있었는데?
 
Lisa: Mr. Lee made me stay after school for talking in class.
 
리사: 수업 시간에 떠들었다고 이 선생님이 학교 끝나고 남으랬어.  
 
Jean: I think you’re being a drama queen today.
 
진: 오늘은 진이 엄살을 부리네.
 
Lisa: You always stick up for the teacher.
 
리사: 엄마는 항상 선생님 편이야.
 
Jean: Are you telling me you didn’t have it coming.
 
진: 네가 혼날 일을 안했다는 거니?  
 
Lisa: No but I didn’t know he have eyes in the back of his head.
 
리사: 그건 아니지만 선생님은 머리 뒤에도 눈이 있는지 몰랐지.
