Airport Railroad Launches Pre-Online Transportation Card Sales Service for Inbound Passengers

Airport Railroad has launched pre-online transportation card sales from February 1st to inhance the transfer convenience for Express train passengers at Seoul Station.   Passengers using the Express train faced a lengthy and complex transfer process as they had to exit the gate at Seoul Station with their Express train ticket after disembarking and then purchase another transportation card to transfer to other subway lines.   The pre-online transportation card sales service enables passengers to purchase a transportation card through the ‘Airport Railroad Express train (Pre-Booking) Application’ before entering Korea. Passengers can conveniently pick up the pre-purchased transportation card on the Express train and seamlessly transfer from Seoul Station.   The pre-purchase of the transportation card is available from 60 days before boarding the Express train until the day before boarding through the 'Airport Railroad Express Train (Pre-Booking) Application. The cost of the transportation card is 10,000 won, including a 5,000-won charge.   The purchased transportation card will be handed directly to passengers by train staff during the journey on the Exress train to Seoul Station. Using the pre-purchased transportation card, passengers can transfer conveniently when arriving at Seoul Station and transferring to other subway lines in the metropolitan area. There is no need to exit the gate, purchase a new transportation card, or re-enter the gate.   An Airport Railroad representative stated, "To facilitate the start of Seoul tourism for inbound passengers who are first-time users of Korean public transportation, especially those connecting from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station, we have introduced pre-sale of transportation cards“ 강동현 기자 kang_donghyun@koreadaily.comtransportation passengers transportation cards airport railroad express train

[오늘의 생활영어] put your cards on the table; 계획을 솔직하게 밝히다

Nick and Denny are talking in the office. Nick: Denny do you have a few minutes? Denny: Sure. What's on your mind? Nick: We've got a meeting tomorrow to negotiate a contract with a new customer. Denny: Terrific. What do you want to talk about? Nick: We need to decide how we want to conduct our negotiation. Denny: Well obviously we should put all of our cards on the table right away. Nick: No that would be naive. We've got to feel them out to see what their negotiating limits are. Denny: I see. We need to know what their bottom line is. Nick: Yeah. Then we'll know how far we can push them. Denny: And they will be doing the same thing to us. 기억할만한 표현   *what's on your mind?: 무슨 생각해요?     "I can usually tell what's on his mind." "Before I ask her for a date I'm going to feel her out to see if she's interested." "His bottom line is unacceptable so we can't make the deal." California International University www.ciula.edu (213)381-3710오늘의 생활영어 cards table table right denny do denny are

(Tommy is talking to his girlfriend Sharon … Tommy: I finally dipped into that money that I'd been putting aside for the past year and a half. Sharon: What did you do with it? Tommy: I got caught up on my credit cards. Sharon: That was a smart thing to do. Tommy: Yeah it doesn't take long to run up a huge debt. Sharon: Did you do anything else with your money? Tommy: I bought that suit that I told you about. Sharon: But you need that for work. Didn't you splurge on anything? Tommy: Not yet. I thought you might want to splurge with me at a really expensive restaurant. Sharon: I would love to. I can wear my new dress. ━   기억할만한 표현     * put aside: 따로 모아두다 저축하다   "The company put aside millions of dollars for bonuses." * catch up on … : (그동안 못해왔던 것을) 만회하다 처리하다     "I finally had time to catch up on my sleep."
