Digital Pioneer 'Dentium' Strengthens Market Leadership by Hosting Digital Minimalism Seminar in Istanbul, Türkiye

On September 14th, Dentium successfully hosted the “2024 Dentium Digital Minimalism Conference” at the Sheraton Levent in Istanbul, Türkiye. This event marked a significant step in reinforcing Dentium’s brand presence in the local market. Positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Türkiye has become a key market for Korean dental implants, and this conference showcased Dentium’s digital solutions and innovative implant techniques.   Held in Istanbul for the first time in four years since the pandemic, the event solidified Dentium’s status as a true Digital Pioneer. The conference focused on systematically organizing and conveying the concept of Digital Minimalism in digital implant procedures, going beyond mere technology promotion.   The first session, “Short & Narrow,” introduced an innovative approach that challenges the traditional paradigm of implants, offering Turkish dental professionals new learning opportunities. The second session highlighted cases involving AI technology for occlusal plane settings, demonstrating how digital implants can deliver accurate, precise and satisfactory results for both doctors and patients.   To address the commonly cited issue of occlusal accuracy with intra oral scanners, the conference presented the Bite Tray Impression Scan (B.T.S.) case, clearly distinguishing the pros and cons of oral scanners and the B.T.S. technique. This demonstrated that Dentium’s digital approach offers both clinical excellence and convenience. Dentium also introduced solutions for bone grafting and sinus lifting, such as Easy Bone Graft and Sinus Simple, which are designed to maximize efficiency in diagnosis and planning while reducing the burden on practitioners and patients. Participants had the opportunity to experience these complex processes firsthand through practical sessions, which received a positive response from Turkish dentists and clinical experts. Dentium successfully positioned itself as a provider of user-centric digital solutions that cater to local market needs.   Through this conference, Dentium aimed to solidify its status as a global leader in digital dentistry. While the Turkish dental implant market has traditionally been dominated by European and American products, the quality and innovation of Korean implants have recently gained recognition. Dentium is responding to this market shift by providing the latest technology and clinical data, emphasizing a localized digital approach through interaction with Turkish dentists.   The conference featured an active Q&A session, allowing speakers and attendees to exchange opinions and deepen their understanding of the latest concepts. One participant remarked, “It was impressive to see how the concept of Digital Minimalism can be easily applied to dental practice. Experiencing procedures that simplify complex processes and offer convenience to patients was very beneficial.” A Dentium representative stated, “Türkiye is a crucial market connecting Europe and Asia, and the adoption of digital solutions based on Digital Minimalism is accelerating alongside the growth of the local dental industry. This conference was an opportunity for Dentium to present its direction as a Digital Pioneer in the Turkish market and strengthen the competitiveness of its products and technology through close cooperation with local dentists.”   Dentium continues to spread the value of Digital Minimalism globally, offering tailored solutions for local markets. In October, Dentium will host a world symposium in Spain for dental professionals worldwide, further solidifying its position as a global Digital Pioneer.    박원중 기자 (park.wonjun.ja@gmail.com)digital minimalism digital minimalism digital solutions digital approach

Ending the Reign of Fake Drugs: The Coder's Revolutionary Approach

IT security solutions company, The Coder, has presented an innovative solution using its proprietary DOT (Data on Things) technology to address the issue of counterfeit and fake pharmaceuticals, highlighted in the recent 2024 Special 301 Report by the United States Trade Representative (USTR).   The Special 301 Report is an annual publication by the USTR that evaluates intellectual property (IP) protection, identifies trade barriers, and promotes international cooperation to strengthen global IP protection, thereby safeguarding American businesses and consumers.   According to the report, Pfizer pharmaceuticals have experienced several instances of counterfeiting in recent years, with a significant number of cases reported in 2023 and 2024. Harmful substances found in these counterfeits include road marking paint containing lead, brick dust, floor polish, and boric acid, posing severe health risks to patients. The major issue is that consumers find it difficult to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit medicines.   In response, The Coder has suggested applying its DOT technology to pharmaceuticals, enabling consumers to easily verify the authenticity of their medications, and helping pharmaceutical companies to tackle counterfeiting throughout the distribution process. The proposal includes embedding DOT codes directly onto pharmaceutical packaging and pills to prevent counterfeiting.   The Coder's DOT technology involves embedding unique, non-replicable digital codes into various objects. These codes are invisible to the naked eye, making them difficult to target and damage. Additionally, it has better damage recovery capability than QR codes, resulting in a higher recognition rate.   By embedding DOT authenticity codes on pharmaceutical packaging, consumers can instantly verify the authenticity using a dedicated app. Simultaneously, pharmaceutical companies can track the distribution of their products, and identify the region where counterfeit reports have been made.   Additionally, the technology can be applied directly to the pills. By scanning the pill with the app, consumers can access information such as packaging date, expiration date, ingredients, manufacturer details, efficacy, and potential side effects.   Park Haeng-woon, CEO of The Coder, stated, "Our technology can proactively address the growing global issue of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. Through this, we will work to strengthen our technology to protect consumer health and enhance the credibility of the pharmaceutical industry."   The Coder recently signed an MOU with Mindmatics in Malaysia to develop customized tax stamps for the Malaysian market. The Coder has been recognized for its innovative technology and achievements over the years. In 2019, the company received the NET (New Excellent Technology) certification from the Korean government for its DOT-based encoding and anti-counterfeiting technology, tailored to the physical properties of various materials. In 2023, The Coder’s smart paper, capable of identifying counterfeit products through DOT codes, was awarded the NEP (New Excellent Product) certification. This year, the same smart paper technology was designated as an Excellent Product for Government Procurement, further validating its excellence and reliability.   박원중 기자 (park.wonjun.ja@gmail.com)revolutionary approach tackle counterfeiting counterfeiting in enabling consumers
