에스더: 어머, 안녕하세요.
 
Carla: Did your son have his friends over for a party yet?
 
칼라: 아드님이 친구들 초대해서 파티를 열었나요?
 
Esther: Yes. My son had the party last Saturday.
 
에스더: 네. 지난 토요일에 파티를 했답니다.
 
Carla: Did they all have a good time?
 
칼라: 모두 재미있게 지내다 갔나요?
 
Esther: Yes, they did. But I was afraid they would trash the place.
 
에스더: 네 그랬어요. 저야 뭐 집을 엉망으로 만들까봐 걱정이었지만.
 
Carla: I’m sure they didn’t.
 
칼라: 그러지 않았겠죠.
 
Esther: No. In fact when I got home the house was spotless.
 
에스더: 안 그랬어요. 사실은 내가 집에 가니까 완벽하게 깨끗하더라구요.
 
Carla: Really?
 
칼라: 정말이에요?
 
Esther: Yes. My son is usually so messy. But a clean house caught me off guard.
 
에스더: 네. 우리 아들이 평소 지저분한 편이라서요. 집 전체가 깨끗한 건 정말 뜻밖이었다니까요.
