[오늘의 생활영어] take (something) apart: 분해하다

Jack is helping Roy move into a new apartment.  
(잭이 새 아파트로 이사하는 로이를 돕고 있다.)
 
Roy: Okay let's move my desk out of the room.
 
로이: 자 책상을 방에서 옮겨 나가자구.  
 
Jack: Hold on.  

 
잭: 잠깐만.  
 
Roy: What's the matter?  
 
로이: 왜 그래?  
 
Jack: Your desk is too wide to fit through the door.  
 
잭: 자네 책상이 방문을 통과하기엔 너무 폭이 넓어.
 
Roy: Oh that's right I forgot. We have to take the desk apart.  
 
로이: 아 그렇지 내가 잊었어. 책상을 분해해야 해.
 
Jack: Do we take off the legs?  
 
잭: 다리를 떼어내는 거야?  
 
Roy: Yes but they're a snap to remove.  
 
로이: 응 하지만 떼어내기는 아주 쉬워.  
 
Jack: Okay then let's get the sofa.  
 
잭: 그래 그 다음엔 소파를 옮기자.  
 
Roy: Thanks a lot for the help Jack.  
 
로이: 잭 도와줘서 정말 고마워.  
 
Jack: That's okay. You can buy me dinner later.  
 
잭: 괜찮아. 나중에 저녁이나 사줘.
