Christopher: Jack it's lunch time. Let's grab a bite.
크리스토퍼: 잭 점심시간이야. 뭘 좀 간단히 먹자.
Jack: I can't today.
잭: 오늘은 안돼.
Christopher: Why not?
크리스토퍼: 왜 안 되는데?
Jack: I'm broke. I don't have any cash on me.
잭: 나 무일푼이야. 현금이 한 푼도 없어.
Christopher: I'll pick up lunch. Let's go.
크리스토퍼: 내가 점심 살게. 가자.
Jack: Really?
잭: 정말?
Christopher: Sure come on.
크리스토퍼: 그럼. 가자구.
Jack: Thanks. I can pay you back tomorrow.
잭: 고마워. 내일 갚을게.
Christopher: That's okay. You can buy me lunch tomorrow.
크리스토퍼: 괜찮아. 내일 점심 사면 되잖아.
Jack: It's a deal.
잭: 좋아.
기억할만한 표현
*grab a bite: 요기를 하다. 간단히 먹다.
“If you’re driving, I’ll grab a bite in the car.” (네가 운전을 하면 내가 차에서 뭘 좀 간단히 먹을게.)
*pick up (lunch): (점심을) 사주다.
“My boss picked up lunch for us today.” (오늘 직장 상사가 우리 점심을 사줬어.)
*It’s a deal: 좋아. 그렇게하지.
Jim: “I’ll make dinner if you buy the drinks.” (짐: 네가 마실 것 사면 저녁은 내가 할게.)
