(코리아타운뉴스) Pacific City Bank Appoints Henry Kim as President

Henry Kim, who has been Pacific City Bank's chief operating officer, has been appointed as the institution's new president.

At its board meeting on June 29, Pacific City Bank announced that Kim will replace Hae-young Cho, the current president, starting on Jan. 1 next year. The board meeting further added that Kim was appointed on a unanimous decision.

"This is the first time a Korean bank has appointed a president from within the organization for two straight times," said Pacific City Bank director Kwang-jin Jeong. "This will make a positive impact on the banking industry within the Korean-American community as well as boosting the morale of our staff."

Kim, who will continue to serve as the COO for the rest of the year, added: "I'd like to express my gratitude towards the board of directors, current president Cho and the rest of our staff for trusting and supporting me. I'll try my best to strengthen our bank to go public within 2019."

The board announced that Kim's term and salary will be decided at a later date.
