(코리아타운뉴스) “The Vegetarian” Makes NYT’s Top 10 Books

South Korean drama novel The Vegetarian has been picked by the New York Times as one of its top 10 books of 2016.

In addition to the NYT accolade, Kang also received the Man Booker International Prize in the United Kingdom last May.

Along with The Vegetarian, other books in the NYT’s top 10 list included The Association of Small Bombs by Karan Mahajan, The North Water by Ian McGuire, The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead, War and Turpentine by Stefan Hertmans (translated by David McKay), At the Existentialist Café by Sarah Bakewell, Dark Money by Jane Mayer, Evicted Matthew Desmond, In the Darkroom by Susan Faludi and The Return by Hisham Matar.
